Default clocks

ok not sure if its been asked before i couldnt find it if it has i was just wondering if anyone has put the pointy clocks on a 2000 bike if so how much is involved in the wiring up of it because id rather go down that rroute than a universal digital dash or part with the amount of moneey it is for the early naked clocks,

the reason for the change is that it started life as a curvey then got binned then my father in law brought it after it had been put back on the road with renthal bars and twin headlights with the faired clocks
anyway he has now handed it on to my missus as a first bike, was planning on putting back to standard but i think i will leave it a year or so for that to give her a chance to drop it, so now i just want to try and tidy it up a bit put some better looking clocks on and a proper single naked headlight,

anyway a bit of wiring up is no problem to me but the main thing is are they compatible? from the point of view of the rev guage and speedo and stuff or is it completly different internals?

if anyone can help me i would really appreciate it
