Seems pretty pricey to me for something that needs work to fix it up. I'd have thought you could get a mint K3 for that? Am I being harsh here? |

Personal opinion of one who spent 20 years working as a consulting automotive engineer and claims assessor.
Are they f*cking mad? forks, tank fairing, etc require changing. It is beyond economical repair and only fit for scrapping.

Id say there is a minimum of 400 quids worth of second hand parts needed to get that back to scratch. Also the blurry pics and the lack of a full description of the damage suggests they are hiding something. Its probably worth a grand tops, if there was any money in it the dealer would fix it up themselves and flog it. My guess they got it in part ex hoping to make a quick buck only to find there was more damage than first found.

mike i sold my cat c k3 over 3 years ago for only £1800 and that was repaired! that one on ebay was simalir to mine when i crunched that and its cost me about £600 to repair in used parts and a spray job. id say that one is worth about 700 max to make it worth while.

It was the bent forks that drew me to it, thinking front end conversion and track bike, but was too much money for a track bike. Seems it is too much money period.

I don't think it's that unreasonable.
Only 13,000 miles in otherwise good condition from a dealer (as it is - business seller) It could be easily sold for £2500, so I think there's a lot of money there to pay for the repair. |
