I recently dropped my bike. Nothing I cant sort out with the repairs. But although everything seems ok when I try to start the bike it wont turn over. No damage to starter motor and - yes I have checked the kill switch. It does have a MT alarm but all seems ok in that ariea.

Which side did you drop it onto ?
It might be the clutch bypass switch / side stand switch causing you a problem. Have a search for those two items and it'll throw up threads on how to check / bypass the switches.

Does it try to start but doesn't turn over or does the starter not even turn?
Does you hear a relay click when you try? Which side did it go over on? Druid

Thanks, I should have said - I did check the switch on the side stand. It seems to have escaped any damage (at the cost of the gear lever)

Thanks for taking the time to reply
It was the left side. It has been a week or so since I dropped it. The bike is a 2003 SVs. The fuel pump does operate when the iginiton is turned on. In fact all looks as it should but it dosnt even atempt to turn over. Regards Tony |
