may i point out that is info is of the most generic sort, suspenion set up is personal to everyone, weight and even your height come into the proper setup equasion, if you want to work on your suspenson get someone with allot of knowledge to help
i wont even go into riding style, weather conditions and the other aspects that should be noted for proper setup

ps gab this is not a dig at you posting the above mate

Can anyone recommend somewhere (North West) to help me set my suspension up properly? (Gixer front end and Gixer rear shock)

Have tried tweaking the front, going from stock (Gixer settings) and tweaking to personal taste, but now I've got the Gixer shock on, I think I need some more advice/guidance.

Isn't this the place someone off here (Hindle?) went to recently? I'm sure he posted that they did the suspension without him sitting on the bike...that can't be right can it? i.e. not measuring sag with/without rider?

I went to Kais for my set-up a while back. It was just before last year's TT and they had just finished the setup of one a GSXR based Evo bike. I think it was the one that won actually.

They asked me about how I ride, my weight and wheeled the bike off for a while.

They then called me into the workshop and I had a little sit on it (felt different straight away - it sat down under my weight completely differently). They measured something and I left them to it for another few minutes.

The bike rides like a completely different animal. Its hard to explain - its like I feel more bumps, but they have less effect on the bike's stability. At first I didn't like it, it felt like it was tracking every line on the road surface but after a few miles I got used to how it felt and discovered the benefits.

£40. We were there for about 40 minutes or so but that was a weekday and I had booked in.

I think you can just turn up but there is no promise of them being able to fit you in. Weekends will be busier too.
