I am looking at putting indicator mirrors on my 04 sv650s. Just wanted to know from you just which are the good ones to get. I have been looking at gsxr ones but I do not know what year would fit mine. Any advice on this would be more than useful.
I anyone has got any and wants to sell, let me know ![]() Thank you (in advance) |

If you want to go the gsxr route you need a set of mirror mounts from the GSXR K4 and then a set of mirrors from the K8 or what ever you fancy. You also still need a little jigger pokery to get it to fit and a dremmal is essential, do a search there are a few threads which go into quite a bit of detail on this mod (enough info to allow me to do mine anyway).

You don't need a dremel. You do need a drill though

When I bought my SV it had some cheap LED indicator mirrors fitted. The mirrors were fine, but the indicators were pretty much invisible in daylight.
I picked up a pair of secondhand gixxer mirrors complete with SV mounting blocks. The indicators are 100% better, but the mirrors aren't as easy to change on the go. If you want my LED ones to try out they're yours for the postage, plus a pint of cider at next year's AR. ![]() Keith. |

Mine arent genunie suzuki mirrors, the stems are metal and fitment required 3 metal nubbins grinding off the bottom of the mirror arm. It also needed a small section cutting into the base of the stem to allow the mounting brakect to connect. Now the angles etc are perfect (they dont flex though so folding them back isnt an option).

I'll go out to the garage this evening and weigh them. I think I have the resistors too, but I need to check. Keith. |
