Does the lever move smoothly? A common problem is the pivot being a bit gunged up, try lubricating that first and see if that alters things.

Do when going into gear, if I tap it with the side of My foot it feels like it slots back into place and I can the Select down 1 gear then have to repeat the process for each downward gear. I will have a clean up tho but have sprayed liberal Amounts of wd40 all over it Many thanks. |

WD40 in one word NOOOOOOO use some thing like GT85 from Halfords, its got PTFE that helps stay on the parts you spary and keeps them from jamming, thats what I did when I had this problem. I find WD40 washes off too easy and also dries up quick.

WD40 also removes grease and other lubricants i use it only for cleaning parts not for lubing them

Selector forks/pins? what-ever they are, or as everyone says give it a good clean and lube, I get it loads on my Zx6 through winter.

If I were you I would make a list of all that is being offered above and then list them in order of easiest to check first and work your way through them.
Couple of questions: - Where are you? - You any good with / own any tools? There could be local .orgers nearby willing to help out.
