Default Scottoiler vacuum feed, where from?

Just about to get a Scottoiler to go on the SV. Could someone confirm (or otherwise) that T-ing into the vaccuum feed for the fuel tap will have no effect on the tap. I assume the tap will function normally as there will still be a vacuum there.

Yes it's fine.

BTW the normal tee supplied is too small for the vacuum tubing used, you need something to fill in the gap, or a bigger tee.

This is a 2nd hand one Chris, originally bought for a Triumph so I'd been warned already that the t-piece is the wrong size. Thanks for the heads up anyway.

Go to the Scottoiler website and download the installation guide. http://www.scottoiler.com/uk/installation-guides.html
Worked for me.

All fitted and done - carbs balanced too. The carbs were way out, it feels like a different bike now. It pulls cleanly from ludicrously low rpm and there's no more of the popping and f@rting from it on a steady throttle opening. I fitted the longer piece of hose to the front vacuum spigot to make balancing an easier job next time round.

Scottoiler is in place and I'll just need to spend a while adjusting the flow rate over the next few days.

Hi Gary

I'm glad you got it all sorted - did the bigger T connector fit then?
