Default rear shock rebuild?

Hello folks,

Ive managed to get hold of a tt600 rear shock (same as mine)to have a play with. Im wanting to rebuild my rear shock in the future and wantto know how to get these things apart. Does anyone have any reference or canhelp me with this? also how would you re gas it once its in bits? Am I likelyto loose a finger/eye attempting this?

Are Gas charged shocks like this not charged with high pressure Nitrogen that prevents cavitation and oxidation of damping oils? Coming from the MTB world, I seem to recall that N charged shocks are under a lot of load and opening them releases that load almost explosively. I would be very careful. However, I may be wildly inaccurate, I have not worked in High end MTBs for many years.

Ktech do standard shock rebuilds - I've used them and they did a good job.
