First of all, I know that the angel lights are regarded as chavvy here, but I quite like them to be honest.
I've got the whole angel + xenon bulb kit for my K6 and I was fitting it on but I noticed that the angel lights remain on as soon as they are connected to the circuit.. and the only way to switch'em off is to disconnect them from the circuit. Is it possible to buy a switch like this one from halfords (ignore the colour) and connect it to the halo lights in order to switch them on/off as you need? Thanks peeps. (pictures will be added) *update* I have connected the wiring for the halo/ring light to the sidelight wiring so now it switches on/off perfectly. However, now I would like to be able to control the main projector. What sort of wiring and switch would I need to be able to do that? Last edited by musne; 06-02-12 at 07:01 PM. |

Other option would be to wire the angels off of a relay off the side-lights.
That way they will be automatic and you cant forget to switch them off when you park, then flatten your battery.

So do you want the halos to be able to be switched on or off while the main lights are on? Because then the switch could simply interrupt the feed to halos while lights are on.

I don't really mind about that, Soulkiss' idea is really good.
My point was that the halo lights remain on even when the bike is turned off, so I just wanted to control that. Wiring them to the side lights seems like a brill idea and I would really appreciate some help with a diagram on how to wire the halo to side lights? |

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_165688 Then you need to splice into the feed to one of your side-lights. The feed for the sidelight goes into the relay then out again, and you then connect your current power supply to the halos to the ralay and the output to the halo's Then, when you power the sidelights, it flips the relay to let the power flow to the halos. Thats the overview - will have to research the actual wiring for you - the relay has its terminals numbered so should be simple enough to find out for you.

Seems overkill to use a relay for a couple of LEDs?

Well I suppose you could just wire them inline with the sidelights, especially if you swapped the wedged out for LED too, the current draw would probably be similar to just running incandescent side lights.
