Making standard exhaust louder, how?
Does anyone know if you can make the standard exhaust any louder? Mine's a '01 curvy s.
Sometimes when I hear other curvy SV's the exhaust sounds a lot better than mine (standard exhausts BTW  ). Perhaps there's some basic maintenance / cleaning-out that I can do to de-coke it or whatever?I don't think it's an engine issue as it's running fine and I'm sure it's not restricted! Its internals may be in better condition than some.
Apart from opening it up (Welded ,not do easy )or making a hole through it not much you can do with it. Get a can and enjoy .

Just get a can... I've got a stubby art can and link pipe for sale... bit ratty but definitely loud.

If you cant run to a can just yet get the bike ready for one by sawing off the existing one.Then just ride it like that.
