Default Another fallen comrade......

Biker killed in North Wales

No further details as yet, but I expect we'll hear from Mr Brunstrom fairly shortly. Again.

Take care all

afraid to say a Biker was killed on the M5 yesterday morning (2:30am). Details are very limited and the only info I read was that he was involved in a 5 vehicle accident. Having looked at the bike, the bike looks relatively unscathed, so I assume the guy hit something which wasn't soft

Think this year has been one of the worst for bike accidents. There were 4 killed in the Bristol area while I was in hossie

I had a near thing last Sunday night. I was driving the Jaguar along the A1 towards Edinburgh near to Haddington when I was amazed to see a car coming towards me on the 'wrong' side of the dual carriageway. Fortunately I was in the nearside lane and I avoided contact.

Within a couple of minutes I saw police cars with blue lights flashing heading east and feared the worst. I subseuqntly discovered that the car was driven by an 80 year-old who collided with another car and then spun into the path of s third car killing himself and putting three occupants of the third car into hospital (albeit with minor injuries).

Is it surprising that there are so many fatalities if drivers can get on the wrong side of a dual carriageway on a night when visibility was near perfect?

but there you have it 80 years old, wtf is he still doing driving. my mate was hit by an 80 year old a couple of weeks ago and its taking him a while to recover, damage to his liver etc. the 80 year old admitted that it was his fault as he did not see or hear the bike approach at 2pm in the afternoon on a dry but not sunny day.
