Need a new lid.
Would really like something quiet for around the £200 mark. Any Suggestions? Ali. |

Someone on here was raving about the BMW Sport Integral helmet (made by Schuberth). I haven't tried it.
For example here http://cannon-bmw.co.uk/cannon/htm/bmw_clothing.htm |

My Arai Condor was around that mark and it's reasonably quiet... Not silent, but not bad at all. Quietness comes with the crap vents I think

Good ventilation and quietness don't go together, as I understand it. And since decent lids seem to be well ventilated...

I've a cheap KIWI black helmet (£55) which meets the highest safety standard (blue sticker as I remember) and is quiet. Couldn't ask for more.

HJC are good value.
Can't really comment on noise as I've nothing to compare it with, but I do wear earplugs on anything over 10 miles. |

i have a roof diversion (see avatar)
it's a bit more expensive at about 240. i don't have much to compare it with being a bit new to all this, but i saw a comment in one of the bike mags alleging that roof have some design or another which is meant to make them quieter. my experience is not that great - it does seem to be quite nosiy, but as i say, others may be louder for all i knw. i think they look cool, esp with a dark visor now the sun has come out (briefly) ![]() |

Any lid can be made quieter by the simple addition of ear-plugs!
![]() Sorry... am I not helping?
