Default R1 exhaust

I won a stock R1 exhaust off ebay for great price This unit is a beatiful blue titanium..I think I want to cut the ugly stock header and attach the R1 instead.
What do you guys think. Will you think it will work?If yes then any suggestion as far as jetting?I still have the stock settings.

I think the only benefit would be looks and weight savings. See if you are able to drill some holes in the baffles to give you a bit better sound. (6 1/4" holes should do the trick nicely) Try these settings.

140 mains
17.5 plot
2.25 turns on the fuel screw

Good luck

The R1 can is a totaly different volume to an SV can, You will have problems with it. Its gonna cost you some dyno time and getting it set up. I also thing that the pipe diameters are different. Check all this out before you start sutting the SV pipework.

I wouldn't touch the stock air filter. It flows alot better than most aftermarket ones anyway. As for pipe diameters, I wouldn't worry too much about that. Where there is a will ther is a way....

I am sure alot of people are reading this and saying WTF? Fact is, without daring souls who are willing to try something different, alot of the mods I have read about and done would have never come to pass. Only through such experimentation can you discover things like

-R1 front ends on SV's allow the use of the stock SV front wheel
-RC30 swing arms fit on SV's without too much headache
-R1/R6 throttle tubes decrease the distance to WOT
etc, etc, etc.

So in closing, vaya con dios Armat!! Keep us posted as to your progress.

Thanks bro fk the stock plumbing anyway. I never seen anything heavier, uglier then that crap. Yes I hate it but being a starving artist I can't afford full system hence my dilemma

As for muffler volume I assume it pretty much comes close to aftermarket freer flowing cans therefore I will probably go with your jetting settings and see how the bike runs. How far off can it be anyway?
