In my view they are certainly worth it... I've got one on my KTM and once you have sussed out flow rates etc they are pretty much fit and forget. That said they make more sense with big mileages. I've done 13,000 miles in six months and in that time I have never had to adjust the chain. If youa re doing small / weekend mileage then I guess cans of lube will do the job just as well.

Had one on my ER5, worked fine, though bit pricey I thought.
I stuck a loobman on the SV, looked untidy though did the job fine, even though several bits of it broke/came apart over time (that never happened with the scottoiler). The loobman was cheaper but I'll probably get a scottoiler when I get the next bike. I say probably as I'm trying to weigh up the saving hassle of lubing chain with needing to buy a new one for the next new bike when it gets written off in 6 months. ![]() |

I've got the Motrax version "Loobtronic" does the same job without the vacuum pipe.

I had one on my Ducati, then another on my SV. I'd like one on my Speed Triple, but I don't think that there's room to fit one, unless I can get it inside the side panel.

Get a touring kit, on my bike it all sits behind the numberplate and al you ahev to do is route the pipes. Quite neat really!
