Give em a rub with a bit of fine sandpaper wraped around a matchstick or something similar to get into the small space. Shniny contacts = good!

I've disabled mine cos i have those wrap around heated grips and the lever dont get close enough to contact with them on. But i did have to clean mine out too. it was full of foul stuff.

Only thing is i have to be extra sure its in neutral before i start it but i'm still in the habit of holding the clutch in when i start it anyway.

don't know how much a suzuki switch is but you could get a press to make switch from maplin and use that insted they are really cheap

As far as I'm concerned, there isn't one. The only thing it does is stop you from starting in gear... Have you ever actually done that? I have, once... The bike lurches forward a couple of feet and makes a horrible noise. It's not going to fly off and throw you into traffic. The sidestand cutout still stops you from starting it in gear with the sidestand down (ie, when you're not on the bike)

If you remove the whole switch- ie don't just short the connector, but lose the switch assembly itself- the clutch is also a little lighter, which is nice.
