Default Is it restricted?

No need for smart remarks here guys but how can I tell if my 650S is restricted or not? Its a '00 by the way. The guy from the shop never said it was but I have a feeling it is. A guy I work with has an old Bross 400, its an 89 by the way, absolutely whipped my ar$e on the way to work the other day. Pulled away from the lights much quicker and when he had to slow for some traffic I caught him and just about past him, doing about 60-70ish now, and sure enough he pulled away again!. On my little Gixer 400 its him who gets left for dead but now.......

sounds like it,

possible restrictions are in the intakes under the carbs, or the sliders in the carbs, if its a 99-02 model

any later than that it will be an ECU restriction

Regards
Alex

Does it top out at around or under 120 (restricted) or does it go over or around 130?

deff something wrong then, my restricted topped out at 120 when it was faired and unrestricted at 135 un-faired (all indicated speeds, private roads of course)

When my naked topped out at 90mph it was only firing on one cylinder. You should be able to break three figures easy.

My faired S curvey tops out at 125ish.. And it's not restricted. So how come a restricted one can equal that?? (As we all say, on private roads....!)

135 - did you change the sprockets??

Question - Will a restricted one be a lot slower on acceleration?
