Hello. Yesterday on my trip to and from the North West 200 my throttle stiffened twice, both times after some serious hammering! It's quite scary! Both times it stiffened up so bad that I had to pull over and twist it a few times and play with the cables before I set off. What could be causing this? Bike has 3k on the clock and is a k5 with 1st service only.

Most likely something rubbing on the throttle piece, or on whatever's at the other end of hte cables on a K5. Cables do need lubing but it takes a while for them to get that bad, and you'd have noticed it coming I reckon.
But be careful! With most faults I'd say ride around and see if you can replicate it, but if the throttle sticks in the wrong place you could be in a lot of trouble.
