Only a small article about "time perception" but I thought it interesting:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/science/...20060517.shtml For it's our time perception and ability to get "in the zone" that allows us to ride fast safely and react at lightning speed, once experienced, that isn't available when we are a newbie rider. Similarly gods like Rossi perform manoeuvres that we think are almost super-natural but it's his time perception (amongst other things) that allows him to use his finely honed skills to best effect. . |

I remember hearing Nigel Mansell talking about this when he was at the height of his racing career. He "actively" slowed his world down so he could process more data. He didn't just do it in racing but other aspects of his life as well. He used to do it whilst playing golf to improve his swing.

It is the way Keith Code teaches people. You have so much time and space to prepare for the next task, his theory works with a ten dollar bill.
If you spend it all on braking, you have nothing left to get round the corner |
