Ok, so as anyone who's met me will attest, I'm not a small chap. 6'4" in socks, and I'm finding my liddle SV a wee bit uncomfortable for my legs on long rides. Anyone have any suggestions? Other than breaking my legs, that is...

Would rearsets help? Set at their lowest furthest back position? Dunno! Just guessing.
Are SV and SVS footrests different in position? Failing that.....break your legs! |

Most rearsets are higher and further back even at the most forward & lower settings. Mabey it will help but its an expensive way to find out.

See, I used to sit on the pillion seat of me dodgy old 'joy of CX' when I woz a scumbag courier, but I can't slide back on Julia (my SV), coz the pillion seat's too high.
I probably did look like a total **** though... |

Seriously though raising the seat height is not a bad idea you could possibly look at getting the front seat raised to the level of the back seat (ok it would look well wierd when parked but when you are astride it it would look ok.
also may need higher bars to compensate for being higher up . shortning the dogbones will lift the rear but will not alter seat / pegs / handlebar position at all. or just go buy a bigger bike (buell ulysess are supposed to be among the tallest ![]() |
