Engine/Fuelling Problems?

OK I've had a few occassions now where-by I'm riding my bike and as I slow down I pull in the clutch, drop down a gear or 2 and blip the throttle. At this point the bike cuts out.

After much trying I can almost replicate this without fail when the bike is stationary by pulling in the clutch and repeatedly blipping the throttle and timing the increase in revs to coincide with the tacho falling to ~1.5k from the last blip. Sometimes it will stutter, other times it stalls. It almost sounds as if there is a sudden release of pressure in the air-box from the noise i hear when trying to replicate the symptom.

Now I'm assuming from my very basic knowledge that this is a problem with fuelling but as the bike is stock with barely 1000 miles I am puzzled.

The dealers not been much help as when they did the 1st service they couldn't replicate the problem so as far as they're concerned, there is no problem.

I'm hoping the collective wisdom of the internet will help identify the problem and a solution so I can go back to the dealer and say can you please check the <insert_specific_part_here>.
