Default Service - time or distance?

My SV is just over a year old, and has just under 3000 miles on it.
The question is, should I get it serviced now or wait until it's done 4k - probably early next year?

I'm assuming the former, but wonder what others do.

thanks

I thought it was every 3.5K or every 12 months whichever came up first...

Its whatever comes first as fluids apparently go off over time, particularly brake fluid

i got to my 600 mile service had the oil and filter done then just rode it without looking at the revs from then on, i think your ment to stay below 7.5k until 1000miles tho.

Engine oil should be changed every year tops. Why not do the oil and filter yourself,as it is very easy?
