Default Panels are expensive

Have tried to source panels on ebay to replace the ones I smashed a few weeks back when I dropped the bike but there are hardly any Daytona panels going - and those that are, they're yellow. I don't want to claim on insurance (even though I have comp) as the premium for the bike and the car will skyrocket. So I've ordered new.

New nosecone, new offside fairing panel, new bellypan (it's effectively the lowers) and new indie - total spend £699.51. To be fair, it's a lot of plastic. It's also an expensive lesson in how not to use the back brake

i have never really seen why they are so expensive, but then i guess it comes down the quantities produce,

was a repair an option as welding and spraying probably woudl have been cheaper but i guess with a mint bike u will want to keep it mint.

Hope u are healing faster than the bike.

That sucks mate, sorry to hear . That's one of the reasons I ride a naked bike though.....I've come off twice now and damage has been very minimal.

I've always though that if I do get a faired bike then I'll get racing replica panels and store the originals as they'd be cheaper to replace, but they obviously wouldn't look as good.

All bike manufacturers are the same.. if its easily broken in even a simple fall.. then it costs a lot... ever think that a brake lever ACTUALY costs £40+ ? or a single indicator the same amount ? they KNOW people will drop their bikes, so they want to make as much money off of it as possible....
