Default Do SV carbs go out of balance a lot?

My SV seems a bit vibey and may benefit from a carb balance I suppose. Is carb balance something that needs to be checked fairly regularly?

I noticed that at every recommended tuneup service interval (7500 miles)

even thought I thought my SV was running perfect, it always ran better with carb sync, new plugs & clean air filter

follow recommended suzuki sercive schedule, minor service every 3500-4000 miles, intermediate service every 7500 miles and major service(valve inspection) every 15,000 miles

and you will be rewarded with thousands and thousands of trouble free miles

Thanks for that. I'll have a go at balancing it at the weekend.

Get some gauges - give me a call. I'll show you. I have even left a pipe on the front carb for you.

I had Carbtunes but found they lost their accuracy as the so called stainless tubes corroded and hindered operation. So I replaced them with a Twinmax which I sold after my BMW went and now I need it, just like the ABBA stand I sold. When will I learn! I digress. No i dont have any gauges at present but will maybe make up a tube one to do this.

Just looking for tips on this and found out its a right pig to hook up toteh vacuum points? Is that true?

They are the ones I used. Don't use ones with dials, they are pants. The mercury typr guages are a lot better IMO.

The rear carb is a piece of ****. The front carb is a knuckle bleeding affair. Connect up a piece of pipe to the front carb and leave it attached forever. Blank it off with a screw and some PVC / PTFE tape when not in use. Don't blank it off with anything that can be sucked up the pipe.
