I been searching and reading threads on upgrading suspension all afternoon and I think I have less idea what I want to do now than before I started.
As opinion on the forum about what is best is divided (to say the least) can anyone recommend any good places for suspension bits preferably online so I can get some prices. Anyone of anywhere online that does WP ? Just for the record Nitron is looking favourite so far. |

Demon Tweeks do Ohlins stuff, not sure if they do rear SV shock, but their website is worth a look (it does Ohlins front springs).

Never thought of Demon Tweaks (D'Oh !)
They do a pretty good range of stuff too. Cheers Tim. |

I'm looking at shocks myself. 26K on the clock and it has started not just wallowing when really going for it/2 up/fully laden, but just on 'normal' rides. I'm leaning towards the most basic (1 adjustment variable) Nitron so far. Can anyone with one comment on the longevity of them?

Some quotes from people who have bounced the suspension on my bike in the past few weeks.
"I'm impressed you're going as fast as you are on this bike" - Trackday instructor. " 'Kin 'ell, thats soft" - Mick Grant "It must be like riding a a trampoline" - Neighbour (SV1000 owner) ![]() ![]() |

Don't want to part with Ohlins money as the old girl needs some attention in other areas as well. Front discs are getting a bit pitted and the calipers are due a rebuild.
Chain and sprockets are not long for this world either. Have to look into the ZX thing although the Hyperpro stuff (front springs as well) looks quite good value. |

![]() To be honest I am surprised it is even still a debate ... if people don’t want to 'hear' my opinion, I actually have lots of video footage PROVING that a 636 rear shock is more than up to the job!! ![]() For example:- Blue at Silverstone GP All done on a 636 shock!! Does anyone actually NEED any more? ![]() |
