Sounds superb... Especially when you remember that last year we essentially had a field, and a toilet, and a barbeque, and added everything else ourselves.
I don't get excited about this stuff. But I'm making an exception here

TBH with the amount of people that are coming the field is going to be reasonably chocka. I dont think theres anywhere else that will have enough space for cricket on site and personally I dont really want cricket balls hooning about near my bike...
Lets wait till everybody has arrived on the friday and then see what we can do.

No problem. we're just using the poll to guage numbers. We're not short of room, nobody needs to worry I just want to make sure that the use of the space is prioritised properly thats all.

Thats OK then it wasn't meant to worry anyone it was just in case anyone was keeping track of numbers thats all
Been out to the pub with Viper and Liz this evening and had another look at the field, facilities etc.
Field is looking good, grass nicely cropped and also the field is nice and flat. Despite the fact we've had alot of rain here in the last week or so its not squelchy either so drainage looks to be good to.
Theres plenty of hard parking round the back of the pub, some of its a bit gravelly, other bits are tarmac.
We sampled the food in the pub, a very reasonable £4.95 for cheeseburger and chips, nice big burger and plenty of chips with salad, to much for me I coudlnt finish it :D Also a reasonable range of bar meals at that price, with a more expensive selection £10 ish available in the pub restaurant.
As I said in the 4 wheels thread, the field is big enough and accesable to get both cars and bikes into. If you are parking your car in the field though you may get blocked in by tents so only park it in there if you dont wana get it out until Sunday. If you want it for beer run etc then park it up on in the actual pub carpark.
Fields big enough to create if you want it a quiet area so that those of you who are bring your little ones with you can pitch up in the far ned of the field so that they wont get disturbed as much by the noisy b*ggers who stay up till stupid o''clock in the morning :D
So I think we are all ready to go. Here's hoping its gonna be a good one.
I must add that I did not eat so i will take Fizz's word for it but it did look good.
Everything is set up for you guys to have a good time. Just turn up, kick back and chill.
is there a lake for swimming?

What about a regional football knock out competition but with a beach ball....

arggghhghhhhh, silly games!!!! like cheese rolling...hehehe
football is sooooooo boring, but only slightly less boring than cricket;-)
Dizzy, football with a blow up beach ball isn't exactly a Halifax Huddersfield derby.
Don't forget, it will be light hearted (;)) but with an element of healthy competition between regions thrown in for good measure.

Yup!
A better variation is to have 2 teams, a traffic cones at the end.
You proceed to down a pint, run to said traffic cone, place forehead on it, run round it 10 times then run back to tag your partner to set the next in the relay on there merry way. Many a sprained ankle and dislocated shoulder has been awarded for drunken stupidity down the rugby club playing this game :drink:

Done that at my club before also......with the addition of a stream between the start and the cone. 10 pints and spinning round a cone coupled with running through a muddy stream......good times.

Ok guys, we have made a decision and are going to come now!
Not sure what selection to make as we have a 2 man Tent but the dogs will be in cages at night and obviously we need space to put these crates up and also space to tie the dogs out during the day (we also need the car close to the tent so if needed we can put them in the car at any point).
I have selected the 4 man tent space just to give an idea of how much space we will need but we can always adapt to a smaller space if possible.
So i guess we will see you there (also Mina's first camping trip!!).

Me and the missus are really looking forward to this, we have never been to a rally before - be gentle with us :)
Tent's actually a three person one and is not really that big, but I thought putting down for a four person might be best.
My missus doesn't have a SV650, she worried you might bury her Peugot 250 in a haystack or something - you wouldn't do that to her would you? :)

got 85 indicated on the M4 but it did have, performace springs, cdi*,carb/jets/filter, and exhaust.
Cost me a bend valve though (ok all of £13 worth).
* yes I know it's not actually a CDI unit.
Anyway, back on track, coming to the AR get there anyway you can, yes even scooters !
