Pete couldn't get into work one day last year because of snow and they were going to give him a disiplinary before he showed them photographs. They obviously didn't take into account the conditions can be very different in just ten miles!

He lost a day's pay, and they wouldn't even let him take it as holiday. They are a bunch of w**kers though!

Wheeeeee!

Snow, snow, SNOW!

It's chucking down- we've got about 3 inches here at the mo. I'm really excited by it. We've not had this much snow round here for years. I forgot how beautiful it is and the muffled crunching sound of walking is aces.

Went over to a mates, watched a film (Sex Drive- awesome film, seriously funny) and when I left a few minutes ago, my previous tracks were covered.

And for a change, I'm not so worried about paying for the train for work as I just got paid.

WooooOOOOOoooow!

Anyway- hot choc and off to bed. Nighty night y'all. And remember- don't throw snowballs at heads and I want pics of all your lovely snowmen!

Calgary, Alberta. The Chinooks are the dry winds that blow of Rocky Mountains. The City depends on them to clear the snow, and we have not had many this year. On January 22, 2002, the temp was -22 at 8.00am and +10 at 3.00pm, so they can clear a lot of snow when they do arrive.

Hope you all survive the winter storms you are getting now.

It's bad here in London. I've just tried driving to work and turned around because the main roads are so bad. I couldn't even see the lanes on the A1, and that's been gritted. Most tubes aren't running either, so that's me stuck at home today.

Grinch- that's grim! lolz. You're a braver man than I.

Though I did inadvertantly expose myself on the train home for London on Friday night (they put the locks on the loos behind you as you close the door- and the throne is in full view of the carriage. Someone designed that with a sense of humour!).

I abandoned getting at work when I got to Surbiton station- I'd probably get to Weybridge, but be stranded there.

So I had a trudge to Kingston and back to get a thinsulate hat and some food supplies. I forgot how knackering walking in snow is. I went over twice, too!

Take care out there folks and don't eat the yellow snow.
