I think we should have a forfeit for anyone even mentioning him at the gm. I hate all this sicophantic outpouring of emotion.

There may be some outpourings of grief from Quiff and Gracie, but we're all tough bikers and it won't be tollerated.

What's the difference between Michael Jackson and Alex Fergueson?
Alex Fergueson will be playing Giggs in August!

Anyway, 4hrs of work then it's GMII.

Not a lot!Dumped my bike for an emergency , but it went over the side stand onto it's side onto a grass verge (softly) I thought meh....until I picked it up and saw the clutch lever had shattered on the pivot. stupidly brittle. 100 miles to go didn't see the point nursing it back when I could get it chucked in the back of a van.

northwind
29-06-09, 08:13 PM
Ah, that's no good... Was that an original lever or a pattern one btw? Original ones are pretty tough but most of the cheap pattern ones are mince

haven't a clue, bikes only done like 5k miles (before I got it) and there's nothing to suggest it's been down the road on that side so I'm guessing it's oem.
The bike was spot on all weekend apart from this mishap (and the tailpack I spotted flapping behind me by one strap at *censored*mph)

The GM was awesome - good to meet everyone, had a good'n :smt044

I`m surprised you got home ok after 2 embarrassing drops , little things like that are what remove clutch levers making a journey impossible . Out of the 3 of us , I was the one who was expecting not to make it home . I was confidant with YC`s wire fix but my chain was the thing that gave me great concern . At 70 I could feel the clunk in the left footpeg , it went away at 85 but came back with a vengeance at 90 .......... very grim when you are still 300 miles away from home and on your own .

Cause I live in the sticks, i've a combined boiler, oven, heating oil fired thingy. No one will cover it with a service contract or come to repair it when it regularly breaks as it is such an over complicated piece of defication, hence physician heal thyself.

Well its going now but to be fair i did have the fire extinguisher by my side and asked my dad to leave the room when i started it.
So you may not be too far wrong badger

I used to service our Gas/Oil boiler at the dairy when I was a fitter , that thing was the size of a house and a right horror to get right , you have my sympathies , we had 2 of them and only one of them would start in my presence ...... which was a tad creepy .

Yeah its a "stanley" I hate it although to be fair it probably does what it was designed for, however if one bit is on its all on, ie if you want to boil an edd, both ovens and all 3 hotplates are on, wtf?? Its also overengineered and over complicated and unfortunately was installed by barnums circus making it doubly complicated.
Like i said if u were a farmers wife with 5 kids and needed ho****er all day and the oven always on it might be great, however fir the 2 of us for one meal a day its ridiculos.
