What for though?
My fav was a friends cousin was quoted £500+ for an oil change service (minor) an it was 2 hours work
Hi, it was an oil/filter change, service light reset and visual inspection. I know the old ones used to be quite dear, I think the inspection 3 was almost a grand but it was pretty comprehensive, and less than what you would pay for a porsche or the likes.

I have paid £300 for 4 years servicing anyway, and that includes ANY servicing needs.
Result MBK

in all i paid just over 100 for a service on mine, all the filters changed including the diesel filter and fuel pre-heater and i had the hand held unti to reset all the numbers ect. Person my friend bought his from paid just over £480 for the same service, done it myself mind but at a saving of £380 im sure that some "non bmw" garages would do it cheaper.
Just make sure you get pic's up when you get him!! ( yeah let me drool)

good choice MBK, I have a 318m sport Diesel Touring,
It is a fantastic car, just done 1300 miles through France on two tanks of diesel, (the crap French stuff too) without an ache or pain to speak of really
It is my favorite car,
It did not get stuck in the snow as I turned the TC off like it tells you too in the manual, although i may invest in some tyre socks for this winter.
Yes the tyres are expensive and the Msport suspension is a little crashy, but it still makes me smile.. :-)
Enjoy being part of the BMW club, oh and the indicators don't work... im not lying.. they are just a bit pants..
What is the button of death? Traction control? Can I turn that off on the 118d? It's 143bhp so fast enough for me.
The dtc on the 1 is above the head unit where the hazard light is. Press once to partially disable, press and hold to fully disable.
First time I switched it off in the wet I was sideways within 15s, was mucho fun! Then I thought about the cost of new tyres and have not really touched it since :D
That's the one. You might struggle to do much in the dry in a 118d but in the wet or on greasy roads you can have fun all over the place.
You will get through tyres though whether the button is on or off. I replaced mine a couple of weeks ago at 15k miles. Just had Pzeros put on and they are super sticky. Hard to play about with these buggers on in a mapped 120d with 200bhp+

Yeah my rears lasted me around 15k, Goodyear OE ones. Replaced with Kuhmo's. Still have 1 original front on after 25k but its borderline legal now. Other front was replaced only after a few K due to puncture.
