There was a really great video in the Ecosse section a couple of years ago, of Stuartyboy with his knee stick out for a 5 degree kink in the road. Wish I could be rrrsssed to go find it, it was funny. :)

That's the one Dyz! Well done! Right at the start turning (not not turning, adjusting his line) to the right he's got his knee out too, but you can't see it very well.

He is suffering from green front wheel syndrome! Makes you want to get your knee down on a straight!

Dizzy, I haven't read all of this thread but have taken tit bits from here and there. Ride how you like, with who you like, when you like.

I prefer small ride outs myself, some of my favourites are by my own (any speed/style I wish) or good friends where the riding is only half the good time, the company is the other. With good friends the ego is irrelevant, you do what you feel like, there's no pressure to be fast/slow, you know your mate is waiting for you or you'll wait for your mate.

Motorcycling is a simple pleasure, be it fast, slow, two miles to the shops, two thousand miles round Europe, in the garage or giving it a polish. I'm missing it like crazy at the moment and can't wait for a brief return.

Agreed

or knee down one hand on the clip-on's, two up on a Busa with panniers or on an ageing aircooled honda with your best friend in the tankbag waiting for the off.

I always find this sort of thread a real shame.

DB, I don't know you, you don't know me, so I'm gonna try not to preach and will offer just a couple of points based on things I have learned from my life with biking through the ages (I'm 41 now, also have kids and acknowledge I'll never be that good a rider!)

If a biker is what you are, deep down inside, then please think very carefully about hanging up your boots. My fun is in my riding: However infrequent it is that I ride, no riding is no fun. So, in future, I fear you risk becoming more bitter because of having given up, however much things hurt right now.

If you continue to be troubled by it all, and working it out doesn't seem to be happening right now, then I suggest giving up the people for a while rather than the biking for ever.

Group hug everybody!! What was it I said all along? What can't be sorted over brews and biccies really ain't worth the hassle, all's much better that ends much better, phew!

Nice one myc :D must have been some good biccies, i could do with some of them. ;)

You're still in shock, my hair still smells of Chris's armpit:smt104:pukel:

Mmmm what could be nicer than hair that smells like toolbox and engine parts. ;)

(takes dizzy into a wee corner)

Right look at me, get a grip of yourself! - who cares what anyone else thinks. If you give out strong opinions dont expect not to hear anything back though!

Now get those boots back on and go out on your bike and enjoy yourself. The way i see it if anyone wants to put themselves in danger, let em fly past.

The amount of people who are telling you not to hang em up in this thread should be enough support.
