In Gibraltar as my brothers getting wed tomorrow, and just seen a bottle of Johny Walkers rare blue label, single malt for £254......yes only £254. Cheers!!!Blue Label is NOT a single malt. None of the Johny Walker 'colours' are a single malt, all are blends with varying amounts of grain and malt whisky.

We once ran a blind tasting of Blue Label against an Oddbins own brand (it was a Littlemill) single malt. The Oddbins won, with the JW being considered too harsh on the palate b many. :smt077

Expensive does not equal quality!

Coca cola from a glass bottle, just so you don't all think I'm just drinking alcohol :-) (and NO, it's not a mixer :-P)

World of coca cola was interesting to taste the different varieties that coke make, kinda hoped they'd have the different cokes from around the world though, Mexico still use sugar in theirs, Pepsi throwback with real sugar was nice too, not as artificial as Pepsi often tastes.

Anyway, I digress, carry on good chaps :-)

We've not tried it in a cocktail yet, but I've just bottled one litre of Limoncello. This one was steeping for two months and despite the lemons not touching the vodka, it had turned the most beautiful pale yellow. The syrup added is made with raw cane sugar, so it's now a dark brown.

We can't wait to try it, but the deal is that it doesn't get touched until our summer holiday in Lyme Regis. The label will read Lymeoncello!

I've been given a bottle of Jim Beam Honey by my old man, never been into drinking Bourbon really (real ale is my tipple) or shorts for that matter. However I have to say as an introduction to that style of drink it was lovely, very smooth and the sweet aftertaste of honey was very pleasant. I'll see what it's like on the rocks tonight

In the colder months, there's nothing like Hot Chocolate with a dash of caramel syrup, especially at bed time. But I do have a very sweet tooth
