Homebrew.
Bombay IPA brewed a few weeks ago, just perfect in the glass now. Crystal clear, perfect head, great gob fulls of hops and a really floral finish.
Not bad for less than 50p per pint!
Pete ;)
Just had the 1st of the 3 I got yesterday, this was quit cloudy with a off white head, very lively and had yeast in the bottom of the glass.5%, a typical micro brewery lager, would I buy it again, ohhhh yes !!!
Must be good I forgot to upload the picture.....cheers (hick) !!!

Only in Jamaica
No 2 of 3,this is better then yesterday's,not so bubbly out of bottle, blondish with a nice head and slightly cloudy with a bit of stuff in the bottom of glass,5% and could drink this all night !!!
And finally 3/3,as it says on the label, dark brown ale, nice head, double fermented, has a slight Newcastle Brown twang,6.5% and no sediment, very nice but best drunk slowly with a nice packet of nuts or scratchings, well there you have it my choice would be No2,No3,No1, and don't forget I've only done this in the name of research !!!
Still recovering from a serious blast a couple of nights ago. A cracking real ale, but oh my tummy isn't good.

Sorry mate, had a bit of a rumbly tumbly yesterday. Well having it live as they say, very pale,6.5%,66cl bottle, plenty of bubble and keeps it head, says has taste of toasted cereals, and has a slight bitterness, very nice and €1.36c a bottle, 3 would be enough for me but chuck in a bag of nuts or scratchings I might get to the fourth !!!
Sorry mate, yes Kes for me is the definitive movie of its era,I was born in Kent but moved up to the midland at 13 into a small mining village, now I'm not saying it was exactly the same as the film but it the feel and the flavour was there, fantastic easier times, great memories !!!

I had a wee dram of Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye which is almost impossible to get. My Canadian brother in law managed to get a bottle from contacts as Canadian's were allowed to buy a maximum 2 bottles per person.

I don't know what I was expecting. It was good, clean and pretty smooth but I realised I'm no whisky expert. A Hendricks or Tanqueray 10 is more my poison.

As I have fresh lemon & tonic, I'm having a large G&T.
Raising a glass to a seafaring colleague who passed away the other day.
Although I never served with him, he was one of the old guard, and we'd always have & G&T before the evening meal if alongside. It was a tradition.
Those were happy days :)
Bombay Sapphire.
Getting in to this gin malarkey these days. I'm such a middle class ****.
Gin, ice, lemon and self-loathing. :)
A JD and coke, but don't worry it's only a small one..... The previous three were a bit bigger.
Hophouse 13.
I guess this is the Guinness attempt to get into the craft beer thing.
Not bad. Decent enough malty/hoppy lager.
Knocked 4 of them over without a problem :)
A large glass of Jenlain Ambree...in Chamonix...in a hot tub with my wife...and a nice view of Mont Blanc.

My second free coffee in Waitrose, I sneaked back and refilled my cup. I am a criminal! Although I did just spend 100 quid in there on my weekly shop so I reckon they wouldn't really mind.
Last of the Russian brews,as it states it's a porter, very dark,flat,7%, taste quit treacly and liquorice nice with an added dryness after taste,a slow drink !!!
Caledonian - Edinburgh Castle, 80 shilling. blooooody superb, tastes just like a good Scottish 80 shilling should, malty with just the right amount of bittering hops but also the right amount of floral. starts off with that classic malt and bitter hops taste then leaves a lovely malt and floral aftertaste, its not overpowering with the hops like modern beers but instead a more traditional blend of subtle tastes, very easy to drink. i'll be buying more of this. if you like Deuchars IPA then you will love this.
BTW to all you English beer drinkers, you must serve/drink Scottish beer/ale cold if you dont it will taste rank.

I liked the hobgoblin. What else you got in the box?
I'm on "The Botanist" gin. According to the label its the usual botanicals plus some stuff they found in the hedgerows of Islay.
Really nice. Quite sweet and a wee bit flowery. Almost a wee sherbety finish i thought.

As I'm on a brief work trip to Leuven in Belgium it would have been rude not to try a couple of glasses of their most famous product to wash down a very nice steak frites. Somehow Stella tastes nicer over here, in the same way Guinness tastes nicer in Ireland. Cheers all. Back to Blighty and real ale again tomorrow.
