you're probably right, this thread has been hijacked so many times, one more shouldn't really hurt, and we can always discuss the effects of motorcycle exhaust and induction noise @ 130 mph :lol:

we have something to may relate to your MIOA, it's called SPA (Portuguese Acoustical Society ), but they only take engineers. I'm not a proper engineer in their point of view, although I have 8 times (4 whole years) more acoustics training and formation than the ones they call "proper" engineers (1 semester)... so, no SPA for me. Yet. Until the recognise my degree as being a valid one. Which could take years, accounting to their recent past... :roll:

I usually use one of their soundmeters, the "Investigator", which I believe is 3 to 4 times dearer than what I paid for my SVs last year :wink: unfortunately it isn't mine :roll:

I think, sensibly speaking, they should be made to dismount 10meteres away, push the bike until they are 5 metres on the other side and then jump back on and ride off.

No they don't. You will notice that the armco in the picture of the race circuit has the barriers that go all the way down to the ground. The ones on the motorways do not.

Crash into one of the race armco's and you will slide along it until you come to a rest. Crash into one on the motorway and you will slide along until you hit one of the uprights. This will result in a broken pelvis, 11 broken ribs, a punctured lung, a collapsed lung, a gash in your liver and internal abdominal injuries along with several cuts and severe bruising. Well it did in my case.

To tell you the truth...no stock SV650 will ever go over 130mph..so this thread is a waste of time. Only the non sv crowd can boast of such feats.
