I had a 2001 r6, watch out for the dodgy 2nd gear, I was lucky and mine was fine until it got nicked... Haven't heard any other major issues, apart from loosing your licence in 3 seconds :)

It turns out that the clutch pushrod oil seal was on the way out and removing the clutch release screw assembly was enough to render it useless, the only problem is trying to source a new seal before...
