HI all,
Got a touring kit added to the SV. So I need fill the touring tank up with new oil, do I just pour the stuff in, or do I need to prime as well? Sorry - I'm in one of those can't be arsed to RTFM modes, as that's all I've done all day in work - borin' and eyes are tired - sorry folks! Mass |

This is what I do
Start bike up let it idle, pop off rubber cover thing, squirt oil in. Put rubber cover back on and then set to prime and make sure all the air is bled out of pipework, then set back to normal setting. HTH

If the reservoir isn't empty then there is no need to run the engine while filling up, or to prime the system.
