Default goodbye old friend....

My old naked blue curvey gets a new owner tomorrow. I'll be really sorry to see it go. Granted the thou handles better, is loads quicker and starts with no trouble in the cold, but the curveys are definately much prettier than these pointy things. And as for that horrible injection whistling, not sure I'll ever get to like that.

Luckily the new owner lives in Brixham so I'm unlikely to be tortured by seeing it go past my house too often.

Hope the bike went to a good owner Mark, I must admit though the curvy is better than those pointy things

I took the new owner out for a 30 min training run as he'd not been on a bike since passing his DAS in December and going by the grin on his face when we got back I think the bike is definately going to be enjoyed.

So far as I can see there's not a lot to beat a naked curvy one. And that sentiment often extends beyond the world of motorcycles.

Actually, I think you mean observer

Did the IAM, got my pass then did the observer training so am now out coaching folk most weekends. Sometimes you wonder how these people actually made it to the meet-point in one piece. You really do get to see some shocking stuff.

I really enjoy it as I got a lot out of my IAM experience and wanted to give something back to the club. And probably more importantly it makes sure you keep doing it right as you've got people watching you almost every ride you go on (associates and/or trainee Observers) and they ask questions like "Why did you do that overtake when it was so tight" or "why did you take that line round the bend" So it keeps you doing it by the book which has to be a good thing so far as I can see.

How the rest of you IAMers getting on?

But then that's not training though is it? Surely you're observing people and advising them on what they should be doing?

Well I'm not doing IAM. But I'm still here nonetheless.

I'm going to start a kneedown school I think. Stu has been on endless trackdays and still can't do it. Sheesh.
