Whats that ticking noise?

Hey all,

Have had a look at previous threads but none of the ticking ones really describe the same symptoms as mine.

After a really great bl;ast on the weekend i seem to have picked up a ticking sound from the engine.

It seems to build with the revs and gets faster as i accelerate. Its not loud but loud enough for me to hear it and annoy me !!

Anyone experienced this before? Should i be worried ??

where is it coming from ... engine ?? behinde you ?? a certain side ??

Seems to be from the front of the engine - and sounds like it is coming from the middle! I will probably have to test it when i am off the bike without my helmet to be 100% sure !

Hmmm hadnt though of that one !! One that ticks faster as you speed up - Noooooooo its a slow bomb!! I am screwed !

could be cam chain slapping against the rest of the block, but im not to sure.
And is your clock counting down ??

could just be the chain?

is it tight/losse? or knackad?

if it's a K6 i'd be amazed if the cam chain was going

does it only appear when you open the throttle?

if so it's perfectly normal, mine's been doing it for the last 5500 miles since it was brand new

me too.......... normaly its a voice telling me to go faster
