Just fitted the scottoiler to my bike, But it does not appear to be working.... as far as i can see its fitted correctly.

you need to purge the system of all air... if there is air in the pipes it wont work properly ...
you have connected the vacuum pipe? |

well when you start the bike it should drip every 10 seconds or so... you have been running the bike to check haven't you....

You need to twiddle the dial on the end of the resevoir to the "prime" setting. Start the enigne the oil will flow slowly along the tube to the dispenser down by the rear sprocket.
You can hurry the process along by doing the above and blowing through the breather tube. Just be patient with it, if you have it all connected up properly then it will start to flow.

well i checked and double checked and everything i had done appeared correct.. then i noticed something... It didnt seem right... (Now bear in mide that this is the first time i have ever seen one of these thing up close.)
Turns out that the steel bar has jammed into the end of the Black plastic nozzle inside the pipe!!! I was under the impression the metal pipe was hollow as this is how it was when i opened the box... ![]() ![]() sorted now.... Done! Cheers guys Dave |

Scottoilers are incredibily simple. Took me 15 minutes to install...
Hardest thing was bending the metal thing and the little black injector nozzle so they stay on the bloody sprockets! ARGH. |

Well done Dave, was looking at your chain the other day thinking 'Tut tut!'
![]() how much did you pay for your Scotty by the way, looking for one at the moment but £70 odd seems rather steep. |
