Hi all I've been having a few issues with my 2000 Curvy. I washed and serviced it (oil and filter change) this afternoon and when I went to start it up it all started and ran fine.
I then turned the bike off and left it for about 20 minutes whilst I got a bite to eat and went to restart it. It started just fine and I left it idling in neutral for a good 2 minutes when it suddenly cut out. ![]() I got back to my driveway and then went to set off on another run to see if the problem still persisted. This time there was no sign of the juddering and the engine run fine! I've just been on a run for a good 45 minutes and it ran flawlessly throughout so this has left me pretty confused. ![]() ![]() Can someone tell me what may have caused this?? May it have been some water in the electrics from the wash? Or could it be something to do with the oil and filter change? Last edited by radicalry00; 27-07-09 at 09:17 PM. |

it sounds like you got water in the electrics thro chucking water at the bike and then it dried out, you could go through all your connections making sure they are sealed or spraying wd40 in them but it would take a while
if you haven't already get a fender extender as like TLW says you can get water in the front plug which can cause a similar affect with the cylinder kicking in and out, you say you commute so chances are you will most likely experience this pointys have a crap flap under the rad IIRC so there is no need for one |
