That looks a good idea but would have to wire in a charger socket for my phone if I wanted to go down that route. Bit close to a pan for my liking!

I had a TomTom Rider 1 - the cradle was badly designed, it fell out and I was unable to find/retrieve it.

I called TomTom and had I found it but it had been damaged, they would have replaced it, but as I didnt have the unit they were not interested.

This was despite the fact that they started putting a Lanyard in the box soon after AND then dropped the TTR1 and took it off the market, then released the R2 some time later with a different cradle.

PSP - there is a GPS unit and Software available - its what I use when I need to use SatNav

Interesting what about mounting the psp? And battery life. Tomtom riders are hideously expensive so probably off the cards. I have a windows mobile htc big screeny phone so tempting to try sort that out with something.

edit: oops sorry for the derail I'll switch to googling

Zumo 550

Problem solved, best bike sat nav out there except perhaps the 660, but I'm not 100% sold on the new design yet...

I've got the TomTom Rider V2 and it's a great bit of kit. Gone through everything from heavy rain to snow and it's still not let me down. Couple of downsides being would you pay an extra £200 for what is mostly weather proofing and the TomTom software doesn't always take you the quickest route. But overall it's a great bit of kit that I don't know what I would do without.

I have a Zumo 550 and it's awesome. Used bluetooth on it and you can connect it to your battery so no power worries.

I'll have to agree with Talya & TLW - Zumo 550 all the way.
