Default Valve cover gaskets

Thinking about doing my valve clearances today...

I don't have replacement gaskets though. Now, for anywhere where keeping fluid in is important, I'd replace gaskets, but, is it really worth replacing them for the valve covers, or just re-use.

Had the covers off my motor probably 8 times and still on same gaskets. They're not a paper type that rips they're a rubber one.

Great, cheers Chris!

Started on front caliper overhaul for now, chewed screw in the reservoir. Luckily, had extractor set I bought ages ago that I've never used until now.

Can't afford to, the reward for doing the job myself is great, and wouldn't trust a dealer anyway - how would I know if they didn't need adjusting and was told they would, then get billed for checking them and again for changing the shims.

Only thing is, don't have tensioner tool if I do need to change them, but it's a cheap job, and although I've not done it before, HBL reckons it's easier than this mornings job.

You can make tensioner tool in 5 minutes, chop up a hacksaw blade.

If yours are in a real mess I have a spare you can have, can't guarantee it's performance either though.
