Default High Street Humiliation

Dropped my bike into a right onto Putney High Street. Plonker.

R&G's saved me a lot of money it seems - glad I have the swing arm ones as well.

Only actually broken part if the RHS foot rest. The remainder of damage is scratches, bar end, brake lever, pillion foot rest, mirror and unluckily the upper fairing.

Draggin Jeans aren't even marked and Dainese textile jacket has 3 threads loosened on the right shoulder.

Nothing quite like throwing your ego down the road on the High Street.

Sorry to hear you dropped your lovely bike Peter
I know that ego can hurt more than broken bones but it heals quickly so don't worry too much - just another lesson learned under your belt.

Yep! Been there done that, twice. So much better now its lowered though tbh. I was struggling to do anything on tip toes.

Gutting isn't it, but soon forgotten.

Thanks all.

Yes, get bungs. Now.

Zig, I got a few nervous giggles from some girls, and some poor guy almost got taken out by a bus trying to get across the road to help me.

Now, the question is do I go OEM or Bling for replacements? Pazzo levers... mmmmmm!

Whoopsie!

Peter, my foolproof method to prevent the heartache of when you finally scratch your new bike/phone/*insert shiny item here* is to drop the damn thing on the first day of ownership.

Takes all the stress out of it
