Default Problem with insurance and GSXR forks

Well I’m really fed up now. I’ve just been talking to Motor Cycle Direct about my renewal quote which, I was very happy with. They wanted £147 for the Fully Comp Gold Cover on my SV1000SZ which includes all sorts of whistles and bells. I told them that I was about to fit Gilles rearsets and a GSXR radial front end and they are now saying the underwriter ( Groupama ) will not cover the forks. They understand they are a straight fit and genuine Suzuki items, but will not cover parts fitted from another bike. MCD can get me another policy which will include the forks, but this will cost me £211 and not include whistles and bells as standard. Bugger.

For those that have them, who are the underwriters that cover your GSXR forks ?

wait let me get this straight...
you told your insurance company?

FTR - Im insured with express insurance and they're only related question was "do you have any performance enhancing modifications?"
I've got GSXR calipers but not a full front end, they werent concerned when it was mentioned. My current underwriter is Equity Red Star

Can't help but I called Swinton to ask how much extra for the Scorpion Titanium Flame exhaust I have on order. She asked about increasing BHP and I said that I was not sure but assuming it did, how much extra would it be? Put me on hold while she spoke to the underwriter. Came back and said no charge and she had recorded the change on the system including the underwriter reference. Result!

Carole Nash, or swintons

Chucked quote with all the mods on, didn't effect the premium massively
