Default Repairing a broken gear shifter

Ok bought one of these..
http://www.fixer-peg.co.uk/shop/arti...%26aid%3D11%26

Heres how the shifter looks up close before any repair work is done...

File the head flat where the old peg broke off...

6mm hole drilled in the middle (off centre but im doing this with a fractured finger!) and burs filed down.

New peg fitted using blue threadlock.

Fitted back on and ready to go!

Doddle & OEM fortune saved!

Should i put self-amal tape round the peg to 'rubberise' it?

Well done, looks nice on the bike, and hell of lot cheaper than the oem.
I fixed mine, but i just used a nut and bolt...

Nice Job

The grooves are designed to take BS110 'o'rings
They fit nicely in the grooves and stand a bit proud to give a little protection to your boot
