Default Changing bars, help needed

I need to change the Renthal bars on my '99 SV back to the standard bars I bought. but never having done this before, i'm having a few problems lol

The renthals have 2 piece bar ends in them, i can get the end off no probs, but how do I get the bit inside the bar out?

How do I get the grips off the bars?

any advice appreciated

Cheers

Phil.

ends shouldnt come off the innards its an expansion system so just koosen and pull outward

small flat head screwdriver slid betwen the grip and the bars to seperate the glue

any advice appreciated

If you can lift the grip a little squirt some brake cleaner in between the grip and the bar and it should just slide off may need a couple of sprays and then same to put the grips on the new bar squirt the brake cleaner on the inside of the grip slide it on the bar and as it evaporates the grip will stick to the bar also you will only need to take on the clutch side grip as the other is attached to the throttle tube and that just slides of the bar
