Default Dynojet kit for Curvy - where from?

Hi folks,

I'm looking for a Dynojet jet kit for my 650 Curvy K2.
Apparently the part number is E3171.001, I can't seem to find anyone in the UK who has/can get these.

Are these worth the effort? - I have an aftermarket exhaust (Fuel) and a Pipercross filter panel fitted with the stock air box. I've done a plug chop and the bike does seem to be running a bit lean from the colour of the plugs.
Any suggestions?

Cheers
Steve

As I remember PDQ in Taplow were the importer, if not there are several US dealers who
will surely be happy to relieve you of your money.

Thanks Sid, I'll look up PDQ.
I found a company in Italy that advertises them, Carpimoto, but I'd rather get them from the UK if possible.
Don't mind second bits either! (hint hint)

I'm a bit surprised how difficult they are to get hold of, I know most of the racing guys run Pointys (or know the right carb mods and where to get the jets/needles) and the Curvy is getting on a bit now - but I expected SOMEBODY to have some!

Cheers

Dependant on what exactly it is you want to do, a Dynojet kit, or at least a whole one anyway, may not be necessary. Drilling the slide and fitting a suitable jet doesn't require Dynojet parts and, (I'm sure that I'll get caught in a landslide of disagreement for this), careful positioning/shimming of the needle will get you most of the benefit Dynojet needle.

Yeah, I have the pdf for this kit - it seems they just supply a few different jet sizes, replacement needle and washers/circlips. The jets seem to be from 132 to 138 in steps of 2, and the needle is a "DNO704".
I haven't done any carb tuning since the mid-80's (on air-cooled Yamaha RD's) and haven't got a clue where to go to buy these parts nowadays, I'm just being lazy buying the kit :roll eyes:

Cheers Sid

Just been on PDQ website - they have the kit but it's £91
I think I'll do some more research into separate parts.
I know Wemoto stock jets - I think I'll order a selection a round 135 and go from there. Maybe take the fuel needle up one stop as well.

Cheers

Im sure I saw some in his place when I visited him.
He's a bit of an SV650 racing specialist.

Or DIY http://mickk.net/motorcycle/document...ting_Notes.pdf might assist.

Wow, the re-jetting guide at Mickk's website is excellent!
It's more a complete tuning guide for curvy SV650s
Cheers again David

Ah yeah but that won't file your emulsion tube out to an aesthetically pleasing egg shape will it
