Default More work done to the SV.

Been working on both bikes Saturday... Even cleaned Helga's chain and sprockets, completely forgot that it was gold. Looks ten million times better now, though it may need a run and then another light clean as there was a lot of dirt and crud ingrained into the chain.
Then after that I pulled Anastasia apart, stripping down the front end ready for the forks to be serviced and to change one of the front disc's. Then I put the Renthal handle bars on to see how they fit and what cables I'm going to need to change/extend, so not a bad day.

Front ends all off

Forks are ready to be cleaned up and serviced.

Where am I going to put this lot?

Renthals on.

Which is where I was today, as when I put them on the switches didn't lines up. So now I've drilled the holes and checked the mounting, and from it I can see that I'm going to need to replace the throttle and choke cables. Else when I turn its all going to get caught up...
Then I just replace my warped front disc and covered her back up, ready for this batch of bad weather we are going to get. In the mean time I'll have to clean those rather nasty forks up, so need to pick up some autosol.

Hopefully, still lots to do... Trying to decide to paint the engine covers or just get it MOT'd and do it later. As I'll have to drop the coolant out to get the flakey water pump cover off.

Hi,

I'm doing a handlerbar conversion similar to yours. How did you plan to make new throttle and clutch cables?

Cheers,
Pero

Looking good! What Renthals rise are those bars? Wish I could afford a second bike - it would have to be an SV!

Think most people just use standard naked model cables etc?

Yep I've got a set of N throttle cables on order, plus I already had a N clutch cable. Rerouted the choke cable, but untill I fit the forks I'm not sure yet if it will work.
