Default Speedo & Tacho Dying

On my curvy 'S' the speedo and tacho and Odometer are intermittently failing. Speedo & Tacho drop back to zero and Odometer goes blank. I've taken the fairing off and checked and cleaned the connector to the instrument 'pod' and also cleaned all the connectors in the wiring harness within the fairing area. This hasn't cured the problem - do I need to go inside the instrument pod and look for a bad connection or are there other things I should check elsewhere first?

Check the battery terminals and starter relay connections, I bet you 1 english penny that one of those is loose.

Hi I've still got this problem, I have checked battery terminals and the starter relay all are good. I've got a wiring diagram here but it only shows warning lights within the instrument pod. Are there any other connections (other than the battery/starter relay and the block connector going in to the instrument pod) which I can check?

Thanks

Firstly, I know nothing/very little about the curvy bike, so ignore everything I say.

If I were you, I'd be revealing all the wires up to the clocks, particularly those around the headstock - you might find some obvious damage where the wires pass through the frame and have worn.

I'm sure it wouldn't take too much time to get the clocks apart and identify a common positive supply, even using the wiring diagram - there are only so many wires.

I prepare to be corrected, or some detail added

Bill

No point - it's not just the speedo that reads zero - but also the tachometer and the odometer reading goes blank:
