Default MCN's top 10 bike for wheelies

http://www.visordown.com/features/10...s/18420-7.html

Surprised the SV is in it.. doesn't the front cylinder fail under wheeling?

Yup... oil starvation over a long period messes up the front cylinder.

I can see why they've put it in there as it's a light v-twin that can do wheelies easily, and that's all they'll have tested it for in the article. But pretty poor to have not looked into it to find out it'll do long term damage.

That were my thoughts, especially as it even says the engine is good in the article

I think the problem gets overstated especially about the pointies with different case design. I think it is davido on here who has done some mile+ very high wheelies with no damage until he did it with oil a little low.

Wheelies are for knobfaceknobsters anyway.

Bikes have two wheels for a reason, want to go on one wheel, by a unicycle.

Funny how the TLs is in there, its so fat and lardy it makes me wonder how it gets up there at all, but on the same token twins are easier to lift up on the front end. I know one TLs derived bike thats far easier to wheelie, lighter for starters, and just tries to lift without even attempting it......but I'm not allowed to mention it!

You should learn how to do wheelies just to know how to control it when one happens accidentally. Panicking and slamming the front back down pointing in wrong direction is a bad thing and should be avoided.

The fact that it's got 100nm of torque and pretty vicious throttle response does help. And that "lardy" bike is 10kg lighter than the one you can't mention.
