What effects will I have by fitting a 120/70 front tyre?
I have a GSXR 750 front end and I'm considering a 70 section front tyre but is it worth it? |

May feel that your steering has slowed down as you are affecting the angle of the forks. May also have clearance issues with the front mudguard.
Why are you considering it? |

I would personally run the 70 profile on the GSXR front end and if your running the GSXR fender then you wont experience any clearance issues.
All the SV650's that are raced run a 70 profile if running Pirelli's as they dont come in a 60 profile. My old SV road bike ran a 70 profile and it was fine, no issues at all. |

GSXR mudguard, so no clearance issues, I was just wondering what the profile would do for handling. for example, bigger contact patch leant over, but would the profile not suit the 160/60 rear, etc. and any other issues? |

I wouldn't worry about rear profile.
Actually feels to tip in faster, IMO, because of pointier profile. And seems more planted leant over. I prefer /70.

I'm running a 120/70 on a standard curvy
The only difference I've noticed is the tip-in is quicker. The front contact patch is larger when on the sides as YC's already stated The 160/60 rear also increases tip in rate as the /70 profiles are designed for the larger (and flatter profile) tyres. Also to complicate it further, the tip in varies with the tyre fitted (The Avon storms have a profile/shape similar to a 180 tyre and the roadsmarts and pilot 3's are similar to a Pirelli dragon road slick)

I have 120/70 on a Std Curvy with no probs as previously stated tips in much quicker and definately feels a lot more planted around bends, inspires confidence i'd say.
