Default Stalling when cold.

my sv650 sounds like death in the morning now. kinda like my breathe in the morning.

its defo skipping a beat in the engine. It always stalling unless you rev the nuts off it.

taken off throttle bodies with friend to double check they are on okay. spark plugs ok.

the only thing next i can think to do to it is swear, shout, and maybe kick it over. (which i tend to drop it on floor as well). milage is around 40,000. just thinking what else i could do to service it apart from oil change and filter and balancing as these were carried out about 4,000 miles ago.

dam thing.

check out any tip over switches and connections as i know what you can be like with holding it it upright

Take it for a dam good run also as you may have picked up some cruddy fuel somewhere ( bottom of the tank stuff ) thats clogging up at lower draw on the fuel.

muzikill had a problem with his injectors. basically the strainers were all grotted up so he sent them away to have them cleaned. sorted his problem out. different problem to yours as his would not start. worth having checked... there is a thread somewhere about it.

4000 miles ago means it needs another service now. When were the plugs last changed, and have the valve clearances ever been checked?

Temperature sensor perhaps.

Does it seem rough when you get going or just at/near tickover?

Don't swear at it and throw a paddy, MTFU and fix it

To add to the list of sensible suggestions above check the STV servo - it controls the high idle - if not working correctly it will stall when cold.
